A new home for creativity and inspiration

St Joseph's Resource Centre

We officially opened our new St Joseph's Resource Centre at the start of the 2020 school year.

It replaces the St Joseph's Wing - the original home of St Joseph's College when it moved to this site in the 1970's - and quite commonly referred to as the KFC building.

The new resource centre was built by local firm Spence Construction and the honor of opening the building went to former Principal Tim O'Farrell, with a blessing from Fr Michael O'Toole.

The facility houses the former Frank and Helen Paatsch Library,  our IT team and careers officer, along with study and multi-media areas.

Situated in the heart of the College, it has quickly become a hub for learning and a real attraction for students for a variety of purposes.

It forms part of a triangle of significant new facilities with the Jubilee Centre - our home of performing arts - to the north, and the all weather oval and athletics track to the north-west.

Further school improvements are identified in our Master Plan to help cater for the growth in the student population, which will climb to around 780 students in 2021.
