Mrs Fiona McAuliffe

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the College.  Good News is a coeducational Prep to 12 school established in 1997 in the rapidly growing council of Wyndham, in the suburb of Tarneit.

Our college is founded on Lutheran values and aims to provide an educational pathway for each student by focusing on strong Christian education.

Good News is now an accredited International Baccalaureate Programme for Junior and Middle Years students.  The Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme are internationally recognized and provides student-centered learning around the Australian curriculum.

Our college has rapidly expanded in size since its inception and now numbers more than 1200 students.  To accommodate our expansion, we have undergone a range of building projects which incorporates collaborative learning spaces, discussion areas and agile learning spaces to cater for a variety of learning experiences. Our 2022 buildings include our Junior Years complex.  This will include purpose-built design areas and a performing arts indoor activity facility.

While we are blessed with fantastic learning spaces on expansive grounds, the strength of our school is in our staff and their care for our students.

Wellbeing is at the core of good health and academic success, and our staff focus on knowing and understanding each child through their passions and their individual needs.

We offer scholarships every year to acknowledge the value we place on academic success.  However, while academic success is important, the most important goal for us is to help each child to achieve their own personal best.
