Sports Update 

Hello to our new Year 7s, and a big welcome back to all other students for 2022.

On Wednesday February 16th we will be having our Junior House Swimming Carnival at Monash Aquatic Recreation Centre in Glen Waverley. It is a great opportunity to showcase your talent, make new friends and foster a sense of community & house spirit. It is also an opportunity for Vermont to select the Division swimming team, which will be held on Friday February 25th at Oakleigh Recreation Centre.

Student consent must be complete on Compass by Monday the 14th of February.

Parents are welcome to attend, but you will need to check in as per government requirements and sign in at the front table. 

It is expected that all students in year 7-9 attend. On the day please go to your designated roll marking area to record your attendance. No need to sign up to events prior to the day, just line up at the end of the pool and wait to be given a lane. 

Please make sure you bring your water bottle, sunscreen, hat, appropriate swimming gear and lunch. There is a canteen available with drinks, ice-creams, chips and minimal hot food.

Students are encouraged to dress in house colours (Hotham - Blue, Macedon - Green and Stirling - Red), and participate in the swimming events to earn house points. May the best house win!

Interschool Sport

All students are encouraged to sign up and participate in term 1 interschool sport. Students can participate in cricket, volleyball, tennis, softball, or baseball. Sign up sheets are located outside the sports office. If required there will be try-outs held by the staff coaches. Students must check Compass and listen out for recess/lunchtime announcements for try-out/training dates.
