Parent Payments 2022

Vermont Secondary College is looking forward to a great year of learning and teaching and would like to remind you of Vermont Secondary College’s voluntary financial contributions for 2022.State schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary.

However, whilst the contributions are voluntary, the ongoing financial support of all our families ensures that Vermont Secondary College can offer the best quality educational programs for all our students.

We want to sincerely thank the families that have already donated, your contributions will make a huge difference to the programs that we can offer in 2022 and to encourage those families who are yet to contribute.

We are pleased to announce the new Compass ‘Billing’ module for payments is now available to all families and is our preferred payment method. Payments can be made in full or via instalment options.

Parent Payment information is available on the college website; go to “Curriculum” then “Parent Payment Information” where you will also find a handy Compass Parent’s guide to the new billing module.

If you require any further information, please contact the General Office on 8872 6300

Absences

Just a reminder to parents about what to do if your child is absent from school.

All absences are entered directly onto Compass by the parents.   You need to report an absence for your student whenever s/he is :

  • absent for one or more days
  • arriving late to school
  • leaving school early
  • leaving during the day and later returning to school

Completing an absence note on Compass is quite simple and replaces the need to write a note, email the Attendance Officer, or call the Absence Line.  If you are not sure how to enter an absence note on Compass have a look at these easy to follow instructions.

You are able to add a digital copy of medical certificates at the time of creating the Absence note.  Unfortunately you are unable to edit your attendance note once you save it.  If you obtain a medical certificate after you have created the absence note simply email it to attendance@vermontsc.vic.edu.au

If you are unsure what to do please feel welcome to contact Tanya MacKenzie, Attendance Officer, on 8872 6300.
