Welcoming back CLUBS!

This week, we are really excited to be starting CLUBS again at lunch times.

The library will be open the first half of lunch time every day and there are a variety of CLUBS for students to join during the second half of lunch, such as coding, Probots, Lego, colouring, performing arts and drawing. Students do not need to do anything other than turn up on the day.

We look forward to seeing the students joining CLUBS.

STEM EVENT

2022 Girls Day Out in STEM Event: The GDOS Sustainability CryptoQuest! Registration, Sun 06/03/2022 at 9:00 am | Eventbrite

Girls Day Out in STEM (GDOS) has unique online events for girls aged 10-14 to develop skills through opportunities in STEM.

About this event

Find the Secret Key to STEM fun!

This year the UN’s theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) is:

Changing Climates: Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.

Celebrate IWD with the Girls Day Out in STEM (GDOS) Sustainability CryptoQuest.

What is that you may ask?

We’re combining cryptography + solving sustainability problems for this event. Girls, let’s improve our cryptography skills, be ready to change the world and make it a better place. 😎

Higher order thinking and analysis are essential talents looking to the future, so let’s get those skills in place and be ready to save the planet. There are 6 exciting cryptography challenges for girls aged 10-14 and their supporters geared towards a sustainable today.

Solve them and you can help save the planet - oh and WIN some cool prizes too! It will run for a week from March 6 to March 13.

CSEF INFORMATION

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.

Payment amounts this year are $125 for eligible primary school students. Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office on 9568 1300

and ask for an application form.

You can also download the form, and find out more about the program and eligibility, on the Department of Education and Training’s Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund web page.

Check with the school office if you are unsure, and please return completed forms to the school office as soon as possible.

Please make sure that the office has a copy of your WWCC and that you have signed a Child Safe Code of Conduct form (also at the office). WWCC can be applied for online and are processed at the Post Office.
