WORLD CLEAN UP DAY

This Saturday the 19th of September is World Clean-Up Day! 

We would love to see lots of our school community getting involved in this initiative. We encourage everyone to participate by picking up litter during the exercise hours. We also encourage you all to consider how you will go about doing this, using tongs and a bucket would be a great alternative to a plastic bag and gloves to ensure that we don't create more rubbish in the process. 

Some great places to start are waterways, as it is especially important that plastics don't end up here, so if you have a beach, lake, river or creek in your radius this would be a great place to start. World Ocean Clean-up on their website, are collecting data about the cleanup, which can be helpful in further research and is linked below.
