The theme for this year’s Book Week is “Find your treasure.” In the Library, we shall be asking students about books that they regard as treasures. For Library staff, our most valuable book is the Bible. In fact, it is a treasure chest, as in it we can find many references to treasure e.g.
"The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
And
“that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
Perhaps, as a family you could discuss what you cherish. What books do you treasure and why?

The Junior School will be holding a dress up day on Friday 7th September on this theme. Students can come dressed as a book character or on the theme of finding their treasure.
The Library will also be conducting a special event over the week. We are keeping it a surprise for students. We hope to have many visitors coming to see what it will be!
