Principal

Dear Friends,

Values

I am often discouraged by the decaying loss of Christian values in our society and the perception of many people that they can determine their own values, live their own lives and do what they want to do.

The loss of understanding our Christian heritage and the living of Christian values is witnessed not only in individuals but become socially acceptable in practice in many institutions who have lost their moral compass and “ignored basic principles of right and wrong, good and bad, decency and immorality” (Amanda Hooton, “Other People’s Money.” Good Weekend. July 2018).

There’s a moral bankruptcy happening, where not just individuals, but “groups” have developed a culture where it is acceptable to do bad things.

What is alarming is that they do not see the ramifications of their actions, until they are caught.

How precious is a Christian Education that is based on gospel truths, where together parents and the College train up our children to recognise what is truth; to be able to understand God’s world in relation to ‘Creation, The Fall, Resurrection and Redemption’ and to be able to live full and purposeful lives to make a difference in this world.

I want that desperately for our students, the leaders of the future. Leaders that bring to this world His hope, His love and grace.

Yours in Christ,

Catriona

I am on leave from 8th September till the end of October. Tim Farmilo will be acting Principal and Merrick Brewer will be acting Deputy Principal during my absence.
