Year 7 Basketball Team

Last day of the term …our Year 7 Boys Basketball Team continued our schools tradition of gutsy performances against very strong opposition. The Boys never lost their desire to compete. They took their shots when open and as the day progressed the shots began to drop. Most of the Boys had a go at shooting a 3 pointer… although our 3 point average was about 10%... our young men had fun giving it a go like their NBA idols.

Our tournament was the first for many and was as I said to them, “just the start of their basketball journey.” A big thanks to Poth Machar for his positive input to our young men. Also a big thanks to Taylor Walker for accepting our request to be our school’s referee... which meant for the last two days he has refereed two tournaments for school…refereeing all day on both tournaments. Last but not least a special thank you to the many parents who came to support their young men.
