Arrested at School

Lock Up the Principal

Last Thursday, our Principal John Mitsinikos was ceremoniously locked up for our successful fundraiser supporting Lifeline Australia. With our local Proactive Policing Unit supporting this initiative, Mr Mitsinikos was arrested during our whole school assembly with lights and sirens blaring. He was ushered away in his prison uniform and locked up in a jail cell built by our Hands on Learning students and staff. Students ensured their Principal was locked up longer by donating money throughout lunch time and through purchasing sausages and drinks from VCAL students and staff. Kurunjang Secondary College raised an amazing total of $517! This is sure to be a memorable event from 2018. We’re already planning a vote to lock up an Assistant Principal next year. A fantastic effort by all involved and a big thank you to students, staff and families who donated on the day.
