Senior School
Scholarship Program
On Monday 3rd September, ten McGuire College senior students attended an award ceremony at RMIT University in Melbourne where they were presented with 'Kids Under Cover' student scholarships for the 2019 school year.
Scholarship funding may be used on any item that can help students' learning and assist with the completion of their secondary education. These items may include items such as course fees, text books, computer equipment, public transport, excursions, disability aids and other specialist equipment.
With only 290 scholarships awarded across the whole of Victoria, our students are extremely grateful in receiving these scholarships that will help them progress towards their desired pathways.

Bendigo Art Gallery
McGuire College visited 'Another Day in Paradise' and Paul Guest Prize exhibitions at Bendigo Art Gallery to learn about how artworks are prepared and presented in exhibition.
"Year 11 & 12 students all went to Bendigo with the famous Ms O’Keeffe to the art gallery where we all experienced a photography exhibition which we can all benefit from in our future careers and studio arts photography. We were able to see a glimpse of how it’s like to be a professional photographer and have all your work up in the special exhibition rooms and be recognised for the extraordinary work these artists have done and can achieve. "The excursion to Bendigo Art gallery and La Trobe Art Institute inspired me. They showed me different aspects of conservation and how they decided to display the works. They also helped out, amazingly due to our tour member, Helen, to become a studio arts teacher. So she was able to help out with the key knowledge we had to know to be able to do the SAC even though we had an understanding of the concept and jobs performed. Helen gave us a better understanding of how to interpret the work as well as what to look for." Joel Miller
