St Finbar's P & F Fundraiser
Annual Walk-a-thon Appeal
On Friday 5th April (last day of term) we will be having our Annual Walk-a-thon from 10:30 am to 12:30pm at Dendy Park. The Walk-a-thon is the first of our two main fundraising events for 2019. All proceeds are going towards the upgrading of classroom furniture.
The children are to wear their sports shorts and a t-shirt in their House colour, and bring their hats, lunch and drink bottles in a small easy to carry bag. There will be prizes for the most laps completed.
There will also be a Guessing Game and an Easter Egg Raffle. For a gold coin donation the children can guess how many lollies in the jar or purchase a raffle ticket. So please remember to bring some gold coins on the day!!
To ensure the smooth running of the event, we will need parent volunteers to walk the children to Dendy Park and back, and we will also need parents to help with the activities and stations that will be around the park area. All helpers must have a valid Working with Children Check.
If you are able to help out on that day, please log into our signup sheet using the link below and put your name in a time slot or activity that suits you.
To assist with the fundraising effort, we encourage you to seek assistance from sponsors outside of our school families. Eg: Neighbours Cousins, grandparents, friends. Please see that the sponsorship forms and money is returned to school by the Friday 26th April (first week of Term 2.
