NGV TOP ARTS EXHIBITION

Congratulations to Belle Rundle (Year 11), whose artwork titled Nefelibata has been shortlisted for selection into next year’s VCE excellence program NGV Top Arts exhibition!

This is very prestigious award and all artists dream of one day having their work exhibited at the NGV. I wish Belle well as her work proceeds into the next phase leading up to final selection. Belle’s work, the three Ravens, has featured recently in the Glen Eira exhibition and more recently was the star in The Art Show.

Did you all notice the shadow of the raven projected onto the ceiling in T3. I sincerely hope Belle’s work is selected - it is very ‘Gallery’ worthy and deserves to be appreciated  by a wider audience!

Good Luck Belle!

PAINT A BOX PROJECT - SONYA MIKHAYLOVA

Congratulations to Sonya Mikhaylova (Year 9) who has been painting a signal box near Glen Huntly train station. Sonya entered her design online to Urban Smart Projects and spent many days painting her box. Her design had to be an original idea and complement the local area and be in full colour.

Painting your own artwork on the street is challenging, fun and an opportunity to give back to your neighbourhood. If you are interested in designing and painting a box, check out the Urban Smart Projects website.
