Principals Report

We are only a few weeks from the end of Term 3, but have achieved so much over this term.

Last Friday night, our Senior School Formal was held at the Shepparton Harness Racing Club.  Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 enjoyed a great night – Thank you to Paige Martin and Jack Collins  for the organisation of the evening.

Our latest SPA results show great achievements by our students across all year levels.  The acknowledgements will be made on Friday, 13th September at a whole school assembly.  Those over 4.5 will be rewarded during lunchtime with food and refreshments.  Well done!

Year 8 Rubicon Camp occurred this week and all students are enjoying the camp.  Thanks to Sam Owen, Lay Napier, Nic Facey, Jess McInnis and Beth Taylor  for looking after the students well.

Our 'Tournament of the Minds' team have progressed to the next level.  They will travel to the Victorian State Finals at Latrobe University in Bundoora this Sunday.  We look forward to hearing of their results.  Thanks to Sam Sharpe and Nicole Craighead for making these opportunities happen for our students.

Lisa McKenzie, Executive Officer (Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project) joined us as Principal for the day on Tuesday, 3rd September.

The Principal For A Day ‘shadows’ the school principal and participates in normal day-to-day activities in a school.  We shared many experiences in classrooms, talking to students about their learning and attended meetings.

Thank you to Lisa for being Principal for a day I hope you enjoyed the experience.

Minister for Education, James Merlino visited Shepparton on Wednesday to announce the designs for the Greater Shepparton College (interim name).  We welcomed the release of the plans and a "fly through" of the buildings. You can find the latest news on the GSC link @

Year 6 transition visits have been occurring with tours and conversations about how Year 7 will be in 2020. Open Conversations with the Principal are continuing each Friday 9.15 - 10.15am.  We have had many families take the opportunity to attend the sessions.  Just call the office to book in, I look forward to meeting you.

Parent Teacher Interviews are being held in the last week of term.  Parents can log on to the Xuno Portal to book times or call the office if you require help.  Students are encouraged to come along with their parents. I hope to see you there.
