Would you like to learn how to play an instrument? Expressions of interest are open for the 2021 Instrumental Music Program and close on Friday 11th December. Possible options are woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet and saxophone), brass instruments (trumpet and trombone), string instruments (violin and cello), guitar, bass guitar, drum kit, piano/keyboard and voice. You will receive a small group lesson once a week during the normal school day for 30 minutes. These will rotate so you don’t miss the same class each week. Instrument hire is available if required for some instruments. Go and see Ms Allan in 502 or send her a message on TEAMS with your questions. Once you’ve decided what instrument you would like to get lessons on fill out this short Google Form.
Join us live on our Facebook page on Thursday 10th December at 6pm for our end of year concert. We will be showcasing the great work our music students have achieved despite being in lockdown for most of the year. This is one not to be missed.
During Term 2 and 3 we had 9 students across multiple year levels practicing hard, performing as part of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular Mass Choir. Due to COVID-19 the performance this year has gone digital it was broadcast on Saturday night on Channel 7. It is now accessible on the 7plus app and 7plus website, www.7plus.com.au, for the next 28 days, so check it out. Well done to all students involved.
