PFA Update

Kirsten Brooks, PFA President

Welcome back for Term 2. I hope you enjoyed term break, and senior school students enjoyed their camp experiences last week. Many CSRs held events over the break and during camp week. It was wonderful to see the high number of smiling attendees enjoying the time we have together.

It has also been heartwarming to see many Kilvington families volunteering out and about in our wider community.

Thank you to Board member

We extend our thanks to Professor Jayashri Kulkarni AM for her time on the Board and service to our School, as she finishes her tenure.

We love her speeches at Celebration Night, her guest appearances at events, her guidance and leadership of our whole School community and, for me, her calm and knowledgeable approach to our care, confidence and development.

Best wishes Jayashri, and thank you.

Mother's Day Gift Stall - Monday 4 May

Junior School students will visit the stall with their class, and Senior School students can visit at Recess.

Gifts range between $2.00 - 6.00. Multiple gifts can be purchased. Students are encouraged to bring their own multi-use bag. Parent helpers can sign up here.

Mother's Day Breakfast - Friday 7 May

Mother's Day Breakfast will be held offsite this year. The Rosstown can cater for 150 people in a COVID-safe manner.

Adults (parents, carers, family) and children are welcome to attend. Breakfast will be served from 7.00am to allow for students to get to School and parents to work.

The booking link is here. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Secondhand Uniform Shop - Saturday 1 May, 9.00 - 11.00am

The Secondhand Uniform Shop will be open for sales and drop-off/consignment stock on Saturday 1 May from 9.00 - 11.00am in Dalton Hall. Appointments are only required for those wanting to submit uniforms for consignment (not sales).

We will be accepting good quality, dry cleaned uniform items with the exception of boys shorts and trousers (due to overstock of these items). All blazers, skirts and tunics must be dry-cleaned. Acceptance of items is at the discretion of our volunteers on the day.

All paperwork is to be completed prior to arrival on the day to assist in an efficient procedure. Forms can be found on KCEE under the Parent Dashboard/Uniform tabs. Alternatively, download and print the relevant forms.

Please follow this link to book your appointment to drop off your consignments. Contact Deb Duce at duced@kilvington.vic.edu.au with any queries.

Entertainment books

Entertainment books are available here. Proceeds from books sold through this link come back to Kilvington PFA as fundraising. Thank you to Nadia Seifen for coordinating this for us.

Join our new Kilvington Craft Group

Join us for craft and cakes at our new Kilvington Craft Group on:

  • Sunday 16 May, 1.00 - 4.00pm
  • Sunday 30 May, 1.00 - 4.00pm

At these first two sessions, we'll have some great little sewing projects and kits to help put together, which we hope to be able to sell at future school events.

And if you have ideas for future events or something you'd like to bring along to contribute, please feel free.

All skills and talents welcome - we think it will be a lovely opportunity to hang out with old (and new) friends as well as create beautiful things!
