Celebrating the Class of 2020
On the second of December, the class of 2020 had the graduation (that we never thought we would get) in the Gym and library courtyard.
The night started with formal proceedings involving subject awards, certificates, and breathtaking singing from Delia. Speeches were the main event with Ms Harrap describing how proud she was of the class of 2020. This year hasn’t been easy, but we got through it, of course with the help of the teachers and the coordinators. The captains farewell speech followed as Lucy, Rosie, Dimi and Aphra recounted the milestone events from year 7 in 2015 to year 12 in 2020, highlighting how Northcote has provided our cohort with both opportunities and memories.
Our unforgettable graduation ceremony was then followed by a bit of fun in the form of a celebration which consisted of plenty of music followed by dancing, as well as the opportunity to dunk our teachers in a dunk tank. There was plenty of delicious food and beverages to enjoy after a crazy year. The ability to catch up after graduation and to enjoy one another’s company, after not being able to do it all year, was a perfect way to finish our year as the big fish of the school.
