Director of Studies

Yvette Colquhoun

2020 – our vision is clear!

Many of us are excited by the holidays on the horizon. We do not need reminding of the year that was, but I hope as the end of school draws to a close, you take an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of all students this year. Whatever the experience, the life skills learned during this period will far outweigh the curriculum outcomes and this is ok. It is about the longer term investment in our students and they should all be very proud of what they have achieved and the skills developed.

To all of our teachers and support staff, enjoy time to recharge with family and friends over the summer. Thank you for your tireless efforts to ensure our students were supported pastorally and academically throughout the year. I am incredibly proud of our staff for the way in which they tackled the challenges Covid brought. Their passion and commitment as active learners modelled the positive attributes we endeavour to nurture in our students.

Monivae Farewell

After 12 years at Monivae (11 years as Director of Studies), I will be leaving the College at the end of this year to take on a teaching position locally in the government sector. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the MSC’s and Monivae community for the support I have received during my time as a student and as a member of the leadership team. I particularly acknowledge the Administration support given by Mrs. Stacey Dyson to this role to ensure data and logistics operate smoothly on a daily basis.

I formally congratulate Mr. Leon Furze on his acceptance of the role for next year and wish him and his team all the best for 2021.
