Student Services News

Our renovated counselling space with Pebbles and Kevin

There’s been a few changes around here…

A big welcome back to all our students and families. The summer holidays are over, which means we’ve had to pack up the beach-towels and dust away the cobwebs. There have been a few changes in M11 – we have new faces joining the ranks, our counselling rooms have had a make over (see above!) and we’re so excited about being able to put into action some of our plans that had to be put on hold last year. Stay tuned for news on our programs, parent evenings, Respectful Relationships and the latest M11 competitions and quizzes.

We’ve been so energized by the buzz on campus these past few days (lockdown suddenly feels like it was such a long time ago). That said, giving up sleep-ins and free time can be tough – if you need some help getting back on track, the Student Wellbeing team is here to help. Pop by M11, send us an email, or chat to one of your teachers about how you can connect with us. There’s also some great apps to help you get you ready for the return to school or this video to of study hacks to help you get your head back in the game.

As always, if you’d like to have a chat, are worried about a friend or just want to learn a bit more about Student Services at NHS – please pop by. We love visitors.

Safer Internet Day 2021

eSafety webinars for parents and carers

These live webinars explore the latest research and they are a great way to learn how you can help your child develop the skills to be safer online.

All sessions are delivered by eSafety's expert education and training team. This Safer Internet Day 2021 webinar will look at how parents and carers can support young people to have safe and respectful online relationships and what to do if things go wrong.
