IB- Year 6 Exhibition

YEAR 6 EXHIBITION

IB PYP Exhibition- Community Experts

In the students’ final year of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP), which occurs in Year Six, students participate in an Exhibition. Students engage in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems. Through this process, they implement the essential elements of the PYP and celebrate their learning by sharing the learning from their inquiry with the school community.

Students are involved in the design of the inquiry and have agency (voice, choice, ownership, leadership) over their learning. They will work with a group on a negotiated real life issue of interest which they use as the topic for their inquiry.

We are seeking community experts from our school community who are able to support the research of our students. Support would be in the form of answering student questions and recommending reliable sources of information.

This would require a small time commitment and the form of communication will be coordinated by the Year 6 teachers in accordance with the DET guidelines.

Please read through the topics in the following table, which students have chosen to inquire into, and add your contact details via the link below if you are able to assist.
