Only 11 days to go!!!!!

This is our last carnival update before the big day.

Volunteers are busy preparing food, finalising orders and organising those last minute touches. Everything kicks off at 11am, rides will continue on until 4pm and the bar will keep the drinks flowing until 5pm.

Families and friends can enjoy an afternoon of entertainment on the main stage, taking in live music, auctions, fashion parades and open mic entertainment from our talented students!

A live auction at 4pm will offer a double pass Medallion Club to the Bledisloe Cup for September 15 and a signed Carlton FC jersey.

STALLS AND SHOPPING IN THE HALL

We have a carefully curated selection of pre-loved books, toys and clothes on offer. Jams and preserves, and our famous cakes and treats stall will also be available.

Outside, we also have activities and attractions including face painting and henna, lob-a-choc and win a wine competitions and a garden treasure hunt is also happening in the SAKG.

A beautiful plant stall will also showcase our lovely kitchen garden and new covered area.

FOOD AND DRINKS

Come along hungry, because we have the gorgeous Tulum Food Truck offering Istanbul-inspired street food, Murrumbeena favourite Tara’s is cooking up Indian delicacies, the always popular BBQ will offer snags, burgers and veggie options and hot chips will keep little tummies full. Devonshire Tea is also available in the SAK.

Our bar, in partnership with the Rosstown Hotel, will offer a variety of drinks, including non-alcoholic options and is a lovely place to sit and take in the atmosphere of the day.

RIDES

Remember, only 3 more days to get the $30 rides pass, which enables all-day access to the rides precinct.

Some of the rides we have on offer will be charging $15 per ride at the Royal Melbourne Show, so our passes are amazing value for money!

Pre-purchased ride passes will go home next week with students. Ride passes will also be available on the day.

Remember to bring a towel and swimmers if you’d like a shot at the dunking tank!

RAFFLE

Raffle tickets are due back this week, including any unused tickets and all monies raised.

We have only a few days left to sell as many as we can!

CALL FOR DONATIONS FOR THE CAKE & TREAT STALL

The Cake & Treat stall has consistently been a favourite in previous carnivals and on

election days. This is due to the generous and talented bakers we have amongst us.

We hope that you can help make this stall a success by baking cakes, loaves, cupcakes, slices,

brownies, cookies, and other treats that we can sell to our local community.

We are planning on also having a ‘kids treat section’ – think chocolate crackles, honey joys, cake pops, caramel popcorn, fun biscuits, marshmallow pops, rocky road, toad in the hole etc. So have some fun with the baking and ask your kids for ideas. For the ‘Kids treat section’ we cannot accept items that contain nuts.

Note: we cannot accept items that contain raw eggs or require refrigeration prior

to consuming.

Please provide your baked goods in a plastic container (marked with your name/ or child’s

and child’s room number for identification) or on a disposable plate with your baking

covered.

Please also complete the donation sheet form attached below (copies are also available at the office or when you drop off items). This must be completed. (Your personal details will not be provided to the buyer.)
