Grade 2/3

Our camp reflections...

Our Grade 2/3 students and their teachers spent an amazing three days at Campaspe Downs camp in Kyneton from Wednesday 10th August to Friday 12th August.

It rained and was cold but despite this everyone had an amazing time trying new experiences and learning new skills.

Please take some time to have a look at what we did by reading the comments and looking at the photos below.

Abigail A.

It was my first time at camp and I liked the pasta dinner the best. My favourite activity was the rock climbing and I climbed all the way to the top three times.

Lenny

The Flying Fox was very high and it went over the lake. I was very scared and when I jumped off it was very exciting and very fun.

Beatrix

It was one of the best experiences of my life. I had so much fun doing all the activities especially the flying fox.

Sebastian

The team activities were fun and exciting because it was fun to work together with my team.

Sage

It was cold but we still had fun because we rugged up with our coats on. Our cabins were warm and we did inside activities when the rain was too heavy.

Charlie D

I loved the trust fall in the team challenge because I was the one that got to fall backwards. I trusted my friends to catch me and they did.

Emlyn

My favourite activity was the flying fox and I learnt how to run really fast when doing orienteering. The food was one of the best parts about comp.

Molly

I liked the team challenge because people picked me up and put me through a tyre.

Ella

Staying in the cabin was fun and the food was amazing. It was fun doing the hut building even though we had to do it inside.

Clarry

I loved having our own cabins and the food was good. I especially liked we had the pancakes we had for breakfast. We had to get up early every morning to have breakfast at 7:00 a.m.

Clyde

It was amazing to see the kangaroos and one had a joey in it's pouch. We did orienteering and it was exciting because it was a challenge to find the clues.

Mia GP

I thought it was amazing to do all the activities especially the flying fox. The cabins were great and it was to spend all day with my friends. Our cabin was super clean.

Lucas P

The bus trip was awesome. The activities challenged us to do new things. I liked the flying fox and the dodgeball. The food was nice.

Asya

My favourite things about camp were the team challenges and the flying fox. There were kangaroos at camp behind our cabins and I saw rabbits also. I want to go on another camp.

Reuben

The cabins were nice and comfy. The heaters made them warm and the beds were very squishy. I slept well on camp.

Nyora

There was amazing food. We had many different things to choose from at each meal.

Take home readers

We have some new books in our classrooms! Reminder for students to bring their take home reading folder everyday (except Tuesdays) so they can change their readers.
