Wonder refers to the ability to detach from the busyness of daily life, step back and appreciate our own smallness in such a big world.  This helps give perspective and allows us to realise that our current challenges may not be so impossible to overcome.  Wonder gives us a sense of calm in a fast-paced schedule and encourages optimism as we look for beauty in nature and those around us.  It is like being present to the world and allowing its majesty to refresh you.

 

Embracing wonder keeps us from being swept up in our hectic schedules and helps us to take time to be fully present in the moment and be thankful for all the good things in our life.  You are encouraged to stop for a few minutes, breathe deeply, and remember our value and purpose.  How often do we rush from one thing to another without stopping to wonder at the beauty around you?
