Technology at Heathmont 

Students are given the opportunity to study a variety of subjects in the Technology Learning Area; STEAM, Product Tech (Wood); DigiTech and Food Studies. Our rooms have had an overhaul over the break with new equipment and altered learning spaces. It has been fantastic to see our students embracing their classes with enthusiasm and curiosity.   

Year 12 Food Studies 

Students are preparing Okonomiyaki with mayonnaise and linking this to their investigations into digestion, appetite, satiety and food sensory analysis. 

Year 8 STEAM 

Students are familiarizing themselves with the workspace and learning how to use a saw, clamp and chisel to cut wood into smaller pieces. 

Year 10 Product Tech 

Students brainstorming ideas for future projects and linking them to elements of the concepts of STEAM
