French

Term four in French has started off with a bang!

The grade threes have been learning a welcome song with actions! They love to draw an outline of the Eiffel tower in the air as they sing about trying to speak only in French during French class!Ask them if they will sing it for you!

The grade fours have been finding out what Mowgli did in the jungle in his downtime.

They have been playing charades to practice their pronunciation of his daily routine.

The grade fives have been learning about hobbies and that it is very complicated to say “I do some swimming” in French- “je fais de la natation “ 

And much easier to say: “I do some shopping: “je fais du shopping”

The grade sixes have been learning how to describe animals in colour and size – –une grande girafe ( No translation needed)

The students are happily pronouncing French sentences and getting very good at it!
