Principal's Report

Grade 6 Graduation

The class of 2022 celebrated a great year, and in many cases seven great years, at SGPS on Thursday night. Although the weather was very chilly, a great night was enjoyed by all in attendance.

I would like to thank our wonderful teachers, support staff and the students for their fun performance and humorous speeches. Special thanks to Miss Lockett, Mr Lidgett, Mr McClellan and Mrs Byron for supporting the children in the classroom throughout the year. Thanks also to our wonderful Specialist teachers and Education Support staff for their positive influence. I hope the families of these children are also feeling very proud of their efforts in successfully guiding their children to this point in their schooling.

Thank You to Parent Club

Our extremely hard working and dedicated Parent Club have been quietly working behind the scenes all year to raise money and organise social events for our school this year. Their ongoing support is greatly appreciated and has not gone unnoticed.

A huge thank you to our incredible community for supporting their fundraising efforts throughout the year.

In term 4, our Mango Fundraiser raised $1281 and our Easter Raffle raised an incredible $2193.80.

For the entire year, they raised an impressive $11047.26. Our community is what makes our school so special, so thank you for all of your ongoing support to make this possible.

And a very special thank you to our dedicated volunteers, who have made Fresh Fruit Friday possible.

On behalf of Parent Club, Emma and the team would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Departing Families

Brett and I would like to thank the many families that have now ended their formal relationship with our school as their youngest child, or in some cases their only child, has now graduated from Spring Gully Primary School. We would like to thank all of these families for supporting our school and for supporting their child’s education. We hope you all have fond memories of your time with Spring Gully Primary School.

We would also like to farewell those families that are moving to other schools and other locations and will not be with us in 2023. I thank you for being part of our school community and wish you all the best for the future.

I would like to make a special mention to the Stevens family. To Lauren, Pearl and Frankie, your amazing husband and father has left a wonderful legacy for our school and community. We will continue to benefit from this for years to come. Thanks for being so awesome.

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year. I look forward to another great year in 2023. Don't forget to Be Awesome, and if you're already awesome, just be more awesome!
