What: Outward Bound Leadership Camp

More info: Cost is $997. This is a 5-day leadership program for emerging adults ages 16 to 24. Your group will need to work together while organising camp, cooking on fires, navigating through the wilderness, and summiting peaks. The individual challenges such as high ropes and abseil are supported by your two Outward Bound facilitators, who will expertly explore and discuss how to apply these experiences to your life back home. What: University of Melbourne VCE Summer School
Who: Year 11 VCE students

More info: The University of Melbourne Student Union is running their annual VCE Summer School for 2023 Year 12 students. The 2-week program will be run mainly on-campus. Students will be able to get a head start on their studies, develop study skills, and receive tutoring for their Unit 3-4 subjects.
Current Year 11 VCE students are invited to express an interest in participating in the program by filling out an expression of interest form. Official registrations will open late 2022.
Regional students can apply to live on campus during the program for a small fee.

More info: Every day on board Young Endeavour is different. During each voyage youth crew spend several days and nights at sea learning to set and furl the sails, keep watch, and take the helm, as well as participating in games and team building activities on deck. Participants assist the chef in the ship’s galley, carry out ship’s rounds with the engineer, chart a course with the navigator, climb the masts, and even take command! The STEM Industry School Partnerships Program (DET NSW) is very excited to announce that former NASA Astronaut and engineer Sandra Hall Magnus will join a panel of speakers in their upcoming Young Space Explorers webinar. Sandra returned to Earth with the crew of STS-119 Discovery on 28 March 2009 after having spent 134 days in orbit and was assigned to the crew of STS-135, the final mission of the Space Shuttle. Sandra also held the role of Executive Director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics from 2012 until 2018.Sandra adds an amazing perspective to the panel which includes a range of international Space industry figures. Don't miss the opportunity for your students to engage with these incredible minds!
