Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
By Jasmine Rey, Grade 6
Percy Jackson is a novel series by Rick Riordan, an American author. It is centered around Greek mythology and Greek demigods for ages 8-14. At the beginning of the series, twelve-year-old Percy finds out he is the son of Poseidon, God of the sea and that there is a whole camp of demigods called Camp Half-Blood. He quickly makes friends with a satyr (half-goat/half-man) named Grover and a daughter of Athena whosename is Annabeth. Together they go on dangerous quests to stop the Titan, Kronos. I recommend this great book because it’s very adventurous and extremely exciting. I have read all the series by Rick Riordan multiple times, and they are all very well written.
