Naidoc Week,

This week, CJC students across the school participated in creating Indigenous art murals as part of NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) week. Everyone got the chance to make their mark on these murals which will be put up around the school when they are finished. A big thank you to Alan and Tristan from Western Creation for coming out to see us and make this happen. The students and teachers all worked hard practising and preparing for the incursion. We look forward to showing them off to the community. 

Cette semaine les élèves de tous les niveaux ont participé à la création de murales d’art aborigène dans le cadre de la semaine NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee). Ils ont tous eu l’opportunité de laisser leur marque sur ces murales qui seront exposées dans l’école dès que le travail sera achevé.  Mille mercis à Alan et Tristan du Western Creation d’être venus nous visiter et d’avoir permis ce beau projet.  Élèves et professeurs ont travaillé fort à s’entraîner et se préparer pour cette activité.  Nous sommes impatients de présenter les œuvres à la communauté.
