Tech School - Future of Work

The tech school future of work inquiry program was a way for us as students to use critical thinking skills, creative skills and physical skills.  All students who attended were able to step outside their comfort zones and explore a different way of thinking. It was also a way for us to learn, and apply critical skills that will be useful in the development of a new style of working. We started by finding a problem within a chosen job and ideating some ways we could potentially help, or even solve the issue. Next we chose one of the many ideas we produced and settled on making that idea come true. We then entered the design phase and formed our prototypes. When we all had built these creative, inventive and unique ideas we got a chance at seeing what others had done. In my perspective this experience to the tech school was great, it made students think in a creative and individualised manner, it helped set students up for the ever-changing way we work, it gave us the ability to learn and apply new skills that we can use in the future. The experience also gave us an insight on the technological industry and industry 4.0 . Students also got the opportunity to use high quality and modern equipment to make our innovative ideas come true. This experience is one in a million and offers a great ability to gain a new way of thinking, learning, creating and gave us useful skills that we can now apply to our future.
