Random Acts of Kindness
Buckets of Kindness!
In Year 2 we encourage students to ‘fill each other’s buckets’. We talk about what we can do, such as a smile or a complement, to help our class to feel happy and safe. In return, we feel good when we help others to feel good too.
Each Year 2 student decorated a bucket, so others can write special notes to fill their buckets. It is so special to see the joy on faces when they are appreciated.
Here are some of the ways the Year 2 students think you can ‘fill someone’s bucket’:
- write a special note
- smile at someone
- let someone play at recess or lunch times
- encourage people to have a go at something new
- listening when someone is sharing their ideas
- help friends work out their problems
- friends are interested in each other
These are our Year 2 Buckets: we write notes to let our friends know how special they are.
