It's true you can't stop the sun from shining, and it's also true that NOTHING can stop Kingswood Primary School from having a BOOK FAIR!

To ensure we are complying with Covid-19 restrictions, the Book Fair will run a bit differently, but it is happening for sure, and it starts on Monday 9th August.

We are using Lamont Book Fairs this time and they are supplying us with very good quality books to suit all ages and reading abilities.

However, we must comply with social distancing rules as mandated by the Education Department, so here is what we are going to do.

  • Parents with children in years Prep to 2, can come into the Book Fair on their allocated days and times to be with their children.
  • Years 3 to 6 students will attend the Fair with their teachers during school hours, to either photograph the books they are interested in (on their devices) or write a Wish List. This will go home to the parents, who can make payments online using the Lamont Payment Portal. A receipt number will be given which students will bring to school, and they will be given their books.
  • The books will not run out. There will always be at least one copy on the shelf.  We will take payment and orders for the "last copy" of any book and order it for you. It will then be delivered to Kingswood within a week of the Book Fair finishing.

The Book Fair is a Kingswood Primary School event that benefits your children by putting books into their hands, and it could never take place without your help.

I would like to sincerely thank all the people who have put their names down to help on the Book Fair so far, and a very big thank you to Dorit for coordinating and filling the roster with helpers. At the time of writing this, I believe there are still a few spots to be filled, and I will keep you up to date via Compass.

After last year being the year that it was, and these couple of lockdowns we are having, I am looking forward to brighter times ahead. With good health, lots of family and friends all around us, and a little more freedom.

Keep safe everyone, and as always, please contact me via Compass if you have any questions.
