There's always drama

In semester 1 the year 10 drama class developed an interpretation of ‘Dreams’ by Barry Kay. Each student in the class had an acting and design role.

The group were due to perform on the 26 and 27 May but unfortunately the performances had to be cancelled due to lockdown.

Rehearsals continued in Google classroom and we were lucky that the playwright agreed to the group filming the work when we returned to school. The students put in a fantastic effort on their first day back and managed to perform, tech and bump out the show over two periods. They are looking forward to sharing the performance with family and friends.

While it was disappointing the performances could not occur in the way we had originally intended the students still developed a wide range of creative skills and added in an extra layer of persistence to achieve their goals.

Well done year 10 drama!
