Year 2 Werribee Mansion Excursion

Wednesday 27th February

 

‘On Wednesday the grade 2’s went to Werribee Mansion. Firstly, my class tried doing the laundry how they did it in the olden days.’ Olivia. 2RK

 ‘…we saw the laundry. There was a wet room and a dry room. They did not have electricity so they used hand power. There was a wash board and soap.’ Ethan. 2RK

 ‘We went on a tour around the mansion, we learnt that the ladies weren’t allowed in the

men’s room.’   Mackenzie. 2RK

‘I loved the kid’s room.’ Jelena. 2RK

‘My favourite activity was the soap flakes. When I was scraping I was like a fast rocket.’ Lucas. 2RK

 ‘Mary and Andrew lived in the mansion’. Ada. 2SC

‘I learnt that you walk up the stairs in a different way. Girls hold their dresses and boys put their hand behind their back’. Crystal 2SC

‘They didn’t have dryers so they used fire and wood to get the germs away’. Jad. 2SC
