Found!

Have you or your child lost a pair of glasses with black frames? They have been in the office for quite some time so feel free to come check if they are yours.

It is a good idea to constantly check lost property in the first aid room if your child has misplaced any uniform items as clothing and other items are added daily.

At the moment there is quite a large collection of jumpers & jackets. Please clearly name all uniform and return any uniform to the office that is labelled with another student's name.

Prep 2019 Transition Day

Last week, the 2019 Prep students had their first transition day. They read 'Caps for Sale' and made their very own caps! The students did a wonderful job saying goodbye to their parents and settling into the classroom. They were curious learners who were eager to ask and answer questions. It was terrific to meet the children and we look forward seeing the 2019 Preps at the next transition day on Tuesday 16th October.

Father’s Day 31 August

Don’t forget to reply to the Caremonkey for your attendance to the Father’s Day Breakfast and to send in a photo of the students with their Dad or Special person.  A huge thank you to our Prep year level reps for organising this wonderful event and to our Prep families for volunteering their time to make it possible.

Bunnings BBQ

A huge thank you to the wonderful year 3 level reps, Meagan, Helen, Gabriela and Cecelia, who coordinated and organised the Bunnings BBQ on 11 August and to all the parents who volunteered to take a shift or two on the day.  The money raised at the end of the day was an amazing result and the highest Galilee has ever achieved hosting a Bunnings BBQ.  Read the report below to find out how successful they were!

Galilee held its annual Bunnings BBQ Saturday 11th of August. The day started wet, cold and miserable and sales were definitely slow. So much so, we wondered what we were going to do with all of the food, as we weren’t going to sell much of it. Thankfully Melbourne’s weather rang true and the sky cleared long enough for people to venture out. The day turned out to be very successful with us making $2444.20 profit. The Grade 3 reps would like to thank Jessica from the events committee for being a wealth of knowledge all things BBQ related. The Railway Hotel in Port Melbourne was kind enough to donate the sausages, which was wonderful. Maria from Store 6 organised and donated 20kg of sliced onions, which saved many tears. Coles in Port Melbourne donated a gift voucher which we used to purchase bread and Bakers Delight Port Melbourne also donated 10 loaves of bread.

We wish to thank all of the volunteers who so expertly worked on the day. The day would not have run so smoothly without you.

Thank you

The Grade 3 Reps.
