CAPA

The Creative and Performing Arts staff have challenged each other and their classes to innovate and promote the creativity of the students and the teachers in the most challenging of circumstances. Our subject areas represent humanity and people in the most personal way. We rely on interaction, contact and communication in a verbal and non-verbal sense. Our challenge is how we keep this alive in an environment that can be disconnecting and impersonal in many ways.

This is not to dismiss the innovation and determination our current technology can afford us...I wonder how we would have coped with this situation 20 or 30 years ago. This can be a truly remarkable space.

It is the students that have proven this as they have risen to the challenge of maintaining and growing in their identity as creative, passionate and driven people. The images that follow demonstrate this in the most wonderful way, all from the Term 3 Remote Learning environment.

Can I particularly mention our CAPA HSC Students this year who have shone through in the most challenging circumstances. I believe these times will make you some of the most resilient citizens in the future communities, even though it may seem difficult to see now. It has been an a personally wonderful experience to be part of your achievements.
