Tournament of Minds

TOM is a creative problem-solving competition for students from lower Primary to Year 10. Students are given an open-ended challenge and must work with their teammates to develop a solution. Along the way, students learn to work as part of a team; they have the opportunity to develop their creative and critical-thinking skills; they develop leadership skills; they develop confidence in their own abilities, often finding talents they didn’t even know they possessed. Our teams consist of students from at least two different year levels and we are very fortunate to have teachers and senior students who help keep the teams on track and on task.

This year we have six Secondary teams and three Primary teams. All teams are almost complete. We are still looking for two Year 7 students to join an ARTS team and we need two Year 6 students to join a STEM team.

With the interruptions caused by lockdown and other issues, the presentation day for 2021 will be Saturday 11 September.

The venue is yet to be announced. If you’re interested or think that your son might be interested, please contact me via email to discuss the program. Time is running out to register, so please get in contact as soon as possible.
