Foundation (Prep-Year 2)
Prep/1 A has had a wonderful start to Term 3! We are having lots of fun and loving our new classroom. This Term we have been learning about ourselves and our world. In Reading, we have been reading Jeannie Baker’s ‘Window’. We have brought the text to life by creating our own windows. In Writing, we have been describing our windows and learning about writing letters. In Speaking and Listening we have been learning all about having conversations. We have enjoyed playing with and spending money in our PBIS shop. Prep/1 A has enjoyed learning about length and weight through play and natural exploration in Numeracy. Well done, Prep/1 A!
Lower Primary (Years 3-4)
Hello from the 3/4 team!
This term, students have been learning to measure and compare the length and weight of objects. Students had a lot of fun making rain clouds to ‘spark’ their writing cycle for this term. The students have also made a class shop, which they are using to support their learning about money. Check out our photos!
Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
Upper Primary have been enjoying exploring how day and night occur through hands-on activities. Students have modelled the rotation of the Earth, learning that when we are facing the Sun it is day and when Earth rotates away from the Sun it is nighttime. We have been learning some facts about the Earth, Sun and Moon. Students have been practising writing words about day and night with a variety of materials. They have planned their writing about fireworks and have commenced their writing piece, writing sentences about the topic.
