Junior School
Playgrounds have arrived!
On a crisp and sunny winter morning, anticipation and excitement filled the air as the Junior School community gathered to inaugurate the long-awaited opening of not one, not two but three vibrant playgrounds. The atmosphere was electric, with the laughter and chatter of over 350 eager students, accompanied by teachers and our diligent Maintenance team. The occasion marked the beginning of Term 3, adding an extra layer of enthusiasm to the event. With the ribbon stretched across the main entrance of the new play area, the moment had finally arrived to open these wonderful spaces designed to inspire creativity, foster friendship, and encourage active play. As I stepped forward to cut the ribbon, a countdown began and as the snip occurred a collective cheer erupted, celebrating not just the playgrounds themselves, but the shared sense of unity and growth that they represented for the entire Junior School community. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our dedicated and hardworking Maintenance team for their tireless work in making our Junior School playground a reality. It has been a long time in coming, but it has certainly been worth the wait. It is a delight to see the joy on the faces of the students as they play each day – we are certainly blessed!
To ensure the safety of our students, parents please be aware that children are not permitted to play on the playground after school unless they are under the active supervision of a parent or guardian. Students who are unaccompanied will be asked to return to the pickup point at the end of Learning Street. I would also like to take the opportunity to remind parents that Junior School students should not be collected from the Stadium. For the safety of students, we request that parents collect all Junior School students from the carparks surrounding LMC.
Leadership Chapel
On Thursday 27 July our Leadership Chapel occurred with the induction of our Semester 2 Home Group Captains and Enviro Captains. Pastor Matt delivered an inspiring message, drawing parallels between the biblical story of Gideon, an unlikely leader, and the potential within each of these students to lead with courage and compassion. The induction ceremony not only celebrated the newly appointed leaders but also served as a reminder to all in attendance that leadership is not restricted by age or circumstance. Just like Gideon, whose humility and faith led him to victory, these students exemplify the potential to serve their community well. Congratulations to the following students in the appointment of their leadership role.

Preps celebrate 100 days of school
Congratulations to our Prep students who celebrated 100 days of school on Thursday 3 August. In this formative year, every day at school counts and we thank the students for their motivation and eagerness to learn. Last week, we appreciated the opportunity to meet with parents at Parent Teacher Interviews. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to conversations about student progress and goal setting for Semester 2. We value the strong partnership between school and home as this is vital to a child experiencing growth and success in their learning.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory … throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen Ephesians 3:20-21
