Welcome to Little Spirits Playgroup

Each week we are exploring a different colour at the Little Spirits Art Play Group.  

In week 1 we explored the colour "RED" and what it means to be an "EVERYDAY HERO". We talked about who our everyday heroes are and what they do, explored the sensory buckets and got creative making fire engines. Next week we'll be making all things yellow and look forward to showcasing our next masterpiece.

Week 2 at the Little Spirits Art Play Group we explored the colour "YELLOW" and what it means to be an "CONSTRUCTION". We talked about what sort of things we might see on a construction site, what sort of tools might we see and the safety gear a construction worker might use. We explored the sandpit, ball pit and got creative making bulldozers. Next week we'll be turning our world Pink and looking at the type of insects we have in our gardens.

Week 3 at the Little Spirits Art Play Group we explored the colour "PINK" and creepy crawly "INSECTS". We looked at the types of bugs we might find in our gardens, explored the playhouse, played a game of memory and got creative making butterflies and flamingos. Next week we'll be turning green and heading for the rainforest.

Week 4 at the Little Spirits Art Play Group we turned the colour "GREEN" and explored the "RAINFOREST". We talked about what sort of things we might see in the rainforest, the types of plants that might grow and the animals we might see. We explored the sandpit with all the creepy crawlies hiding in there, played a game of memory and got creative making our rainforest trees and snails. 

Next week we'll be turning Purple and looking at types of food.

Week 5 at the Little Spirits Art Play Group we turned "PURPLE" and explored the different types of "FOOD". We talked about what sort of things we eat and the difference between healthy and sometimes food. We made all sorts of food with the playdough and got creative making our grapes and spaghetti bolognaise. 

Next week we'll be turning "ORANGE" and exploring the "FARM".
