Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,

Some of you may not be aware of the upcoming fete to be held in early October. Our fete is regarded by some as the "Melbourne Show' of the east.  Last year over 10, 000 people came on site for it. The fete relies heavily on volunteers to run. If you are in a position to assist please let me know. It may only be for a few hours on the day or as a committee member. This is a great fun social event and well worth assisting in. I volunteer my labour on the day and for the subsequent pack up as well.

Our P&F also relies heavily on volunteer labour. All fundraising they undertake is voluntary and I appreciate all efforts. The proceeds of last week's disco for example are going towards the new Ninja Playground to be installed on the oval. If you have suggestions to target either future fundraising or in relation to P&F activities please speak with Lauren Cefai or myself.

I appreciate that any closure day we hold inconveniences some parents. We have tried to spread the days and times to minimise this. Last Wednesday staff engaged in some excellent faith development that was of benefit to them and the classes they teach. Please feel free to ask your child's teacher about the day.

Congratulations to the students who participated in the recent netball finals played at the Regional level. Our team finished third on the day losing only 2 matches for the year, one to the eventual victors who made it all the way through to a state level. I appreciate you all representing our school.

Please watch out in the coming weeks for information regarding our Father's Day breakfast. It will be held on Friday September 1

Have a great week

Duncan
