Creativity takes courage....Henri Matisse

Hello RHPS Artists,

The walls are FULL of AMAZING artwork!

The Grade 5/6 Book Week characters look fantastic and they have worked extremely hard to get these complete for Book Week. I love how every piece is different and unique.

We now turn our focus to a photography unit based on artist, David M Bird and his wonderful Becorn characters. The students have been creating characters using nature, inspired by David and we will use these to create some brilliant photographs using the iPad as a tool.

The Grade 3/4 students have put their clay skills to the test by making 2 piece clay bobble heads. So far we have made the bodies and next is the heads. The creativity and skill is growing every session and in a few weeks we can put our glazing skills to work.

The Grade 1/2 students space artwork is up on the walls and the galaxy looks amazing. Due to swimming week, we haven't yet begun our astronaut self-portraits, but these will begin next week!

The Preps have been asking for their sewing bears to come home and I promise they will be home very soon. They have made their royal crowns covered in jewels and glitter,  in preparation for their self-portraits.

Have a wonderful week and keep creating!
