Extracurricular Activities 

Northern Star Chess is running numerous Primary Zonal Tournaments in Term 3.   If you wish to take part in any of the following events, please reserve places by email to Tim at northernstarchess003@gmail.com.  A separate event flyer is available on request for each tournament.

Primary Open events

• Wed 23 Aug at Karingal PS, Frankston
• Mon 28 Aug at Alice Miller School, Macedon
• Tues 29 Aug at Kingswood College, Box Hill South
• Wed 30 Aug at St Bridget's PS, Balwyn North
• Thurs 31 Aug at Kangaroo Ground PS
• Tues 5 Sep at The Basin PS
• Thurs 7 Sep at Viewbank PS
• Wed 13 Sep at Doncaster Gardens PS

We expect to add just one further Primary Open Zonal tournament towards the end of term 3 in the Western suburbs (Werribee/Tarneit area).  Further details to come on that one!

Junior Primary events (Prep to Y3)

• Wed 8 Nov at St Bridget's PS, Balwyn North

Please be aware also that our full Calendar can always be viewed on our website.  All tournaments run from 9.30am to 2pm.  Players of varying experience levels are welcomed.  Every tournament is a qualifier for our State Finals suite of events in Term 4.  We welcome students attending either as a school excursion or accompanied by parents.
