Twilight Sports

Written by Josh & Brandon

“Can all 3/4 students please make their way to the marshalling area” - Coby read out over the microphone. It was the whole school Twilight Sports Day and students were eager to participate in the different events and win points for their house. Some of the events were short and long distance races, potato sack races and other fun novelty events students practised in their PE sessions. It was such a great day listening to the four houses encouraging and supporting each other throughout the different events. The Year 6 leaders were also a huge support to Mrs Embery and Mrs Butterworth on the day. Helping students set up for their event, recording the scores, playing music in between events and holding the finish lines. The scores were in and it was Eugenia who won overall! It was a beautiful day in the sunshine and we would like to thank Mrs Embery, Mrs Butterworth and the Sports Captains for organising the whole day. We look forward to more sporting events next term like Athletics and Winter Gala Days.

Student Voice:

  • Coby - "I enjoyed the long distance races because I like running."
  • Josh - "It was fun to do the tug of war novelty event because we got to beat the teachers trying to help"
  • Chris Y - "I liked running and competing against my friends and doing the activities at the end it was a lot of fun."
