CITY ROBOTICS SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM!

These are one day sessions offered at La Trobe Sports Pavilion Bundoora on the 28th, 29th June and 1st July.

It’s similar to what the students have done in class in Year 6 at IPS but the main perks of the program are that the kids get to build a robot by themselves (opposed to in a group) AND they get to keep the robot at the end of the session!  Numbers are limited! 😊

Join us at the LaTrobe Sports Pavilion in Bundoora for a one day City Robotics session.

The sessions will be held on Monday 28/6, Tuesday 29/6 OR Thursday 1/7 from 10am – 3pm. The five hour session is $85 and the students get to KEEP their robot at the end of the day!

The students will get the chance to build their OWN robot, learn to code it, do some fun challenges, and play a robot soccer tournament. They will also get time to do some soccer games/activities outside with some of our Melbourne City Community Coaches.

These sessions are for girls and boys in Year 5 and 6.

Wellbeing support for students during the school holidays

This guide provides tips and resources for parents, carers and families to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in their care during the school holidays. This includes services to reach out if more support is needed.

Parent Help Desk

In response to COVID19 restrictions, YarraMe School has established a Parent Help Desk for parents and carers, to assist in supporting children with complex needs who are learning from home.

YarraMe's Help Desk http://www.yarrame.vic.edu.au/help-desk.html  can assist with:

•          understanding a child's behaviour

•          providing personalised one to one telephone consultation with a special education               teacher

•          discussion of a pathway for the family to seek formal diagnosis of learning                                 disabilities

•          discussion about behavioural support strategies

•          advice on setting up learning environments

•          providing targeted resources

•          referral to external services.

The purpose of this service is to provide parents and carers with the opportunity to discuss their child's behaviours, which may be impeding their ability to learn at home.

The Help Desk can also help parents and carers to successfully navigate potential intervention pathways for their child.
