SRC Update

Student Representative Council Meeting; 17.5.21

The Student Representative Council includes a range of students from different year levels who are part of the leadership team at Heathmont College. This meeting was focused on key ideas mentioned in the previous meeting, including classroom and bathroom improvement. 

During this short lunchtime meeting, led by school captains Ava, Amelia, Lily and Madi, the topics of toilets and classrooms improvement was discussed. Also with the Student Representative Council in this meeting was Jack Lynch.

A range of ideas for improvement were brought up for classroom and bathroom improvement by the group, myself included. Ideas included implementing positive messages and, in some way, art around the school to boost the community’s positivity. Furthermore, hygiene improvement was a major talking point and extensive observations and ideas were noted down throughout the meeting.

It is likely there will be a coming survey shared with students to not only gain insight into what students will like to see improve, but to also obtain real statistics to use in order to make appropriate changes around the school.
