Library News
During August there are two Award systems operating. One across Australia and the other in Victoria. The Victoria award also includes international authors. Firstly the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has held awards since 1945. They will announce their winner during August and secondly the INKY AWARDS will be announced via the INSIDEADOG Website at the State Library. The Inky Awards are judged by teenagers aged between 13 and 19. In fact as a teen, you can get involved in the Inky Awards by applying to be an Inky Judge to help select the shortlist in 2020, or voting now to select the ultimate winners in 2019. Voting opened in July and winners are announced on 4th September. Just head to the State Library of Victoria website and search INSIDEADOG to vote.
Books are on display in the library. You are welcome to borrow these – limited to 1 per person!
CBCA six nominations – There’s a booklet in the library.
