Staff Profile
This week we get to know...
Name: Marley Reid
Something interesting about you: I’ll give you two ‘interesting things’.
- My favourite colour is fluoro Beige. Google it.
- I can travel to more places in a year than some people can in 12 months.
- What class: I am currently teaching Physical Education four days a week and in a year 2/3 classroom on Fridays. I’m a ‘Marley of all trades’, if you will.
- Previous School (s):? This is my first teaching contract after graduating from Flinders University.
- Where you grew up: Just around the corner in Brighton, went to Brighton Primary and then Brighton Secondary. Imagine growing up in Canberra like one of our fearless leaders? Explains a lot.
- Hobbies: Hot bubble baths with bath bombs. Long walks on the beach at sunset. Watching competitive origami. Urban exploration. Staring into the abyss while decoding Justin Bieber lyrics in my head.
What you like about West Beach: What’s not to like?
WEST BEACH PRIMARY SCHOOL
Uniform Policy
Last Reviewed - May 2019
In keeping with our school values and a long tradition of excellence, respect, responsibility and creativity all students are expected to proudly wear the West Beach Primary School uniform. Wearing the school uniform assists in the provision of a safe school environment where students are easily identified as being a part of our school community. It also assists in creating a supportive social environment by reducing levels of competitive dressing and provides cost effective, durable clothing. The uniform contains a range of options to suit all body shapes, sizes and ages.
The West Beach Primary School Uniform Policy has been developed and supported by the school community through the SRC and Governing Council and is in accordance with the Education Regulations (Part 6 – section 86). We ask for the co-operation of students, parents and staff.
The school uniform colours are: Royal Blue tops and Dark/Charcoal Grey bottoms.
