ANZAC

Anzac Day March
St Bede’s College was very proud to again be part of the Mentone RSL Anzac Day commemorations. As usual a number of our students attended both the Dawn Service and the Morning Parade and Service.
In response for a ‘call out’ for assistance from the RSL a number of our staff and students and accepted the challenge.
Mr Neil Hambly was absolutely brilliant, organising Aaron Gill, Spencer O’Leary and Joseph Fiddes to lead the official parade of drums at very short notice.
Cooper Ryan represented the College with distinction reciting the ANZAC Requiem to a crowd of more than 3,000 people.
College Captain Michael Hurst, along with the Year 10 RSL volunteers James Hickey, Jack Langdon, Thomas Wynd, Matthew Ball and Gerard Kelly were the College’s official delegates to the service and displayed all of the excellent qualities the community expects of our students.
It was a noteworthy contribution made to an excellent event. Our congratulations must go to the wonderful staff and members of the Mentone RSL.
