Robin Czuchnowski

Robin Czuchnowski recently joined Scoresby Secondary College as the Head of Music and Performing Arts. He is currently teaching Year 7 & 10 Music, and the VET Certificate 4 Music Performance classes.

Robin began his music education as a young singer in the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choir, Melbourne. During the completion of his Bachelor of Music at The University of Melbourne, Robin continued working as a soloist and member for a number of choirs and opera companies in Melbourne including Newman College Choir, the Australian Chamber Choir, Lyric of Opera of Melbourne, and Melbourne Opera. Robin continues to work in the industry as a composer, performer, sound and lighting designers and technicians. He is currently the Assistant Director of the choir at Queen’s College, University of Melbourne.

Prior to joining Scoresby Secondary College, Robin worked at Suzanne Cory High School, a recently opened select-entry school in Melbourne’s west, developing their performing arts programs and managing major school community events. During his time at Suzanne Cory High School Robin oversaw the growth of the Instrumental Music program, continued the development of the whole-school House Music competition, and worked closely with the other Arts staff to see the introduction both a School Musical and a School Play.

Robin is excited about the new opportunities that a growing school offers and the potential of the Scoresby Secondary College students to achieve their best.  He is looking forward to continuing the work on the Artist Development Program for student musicians at Scoresby - aiming to develop original music artists who possess their own unique songs, sounds and brand. He is optimistic about the great things that the teachers and students can achieve when they work together.
